14 Days Discover Kenya Wildlife Lodge Safari

Our Kenya wildlife trails safari will spend the full day in the Samburu National Park. You will have early morning and evening game drives. All your meals and overnight will be at Samburu Simba lodge The highlights of Samburu game reserve is the spectacular scenic beauty, rivers and forests. It is an area where the local people have a rich and colorful heritage. The reserves have numerous permanent springs and a wealth of wildlife which includes leopard, hippo, elephant, lion, reticulated giraffe, grevy's zebra and crocodile in the Ewaso Nyiro River. Over 365 species of birds have been identified in the sanctuaries.

Our Kenya wildlife Safari proceeds to the Mt Kenya region after breakfast. Afternoon game drives at Ol Pejeta conservancy to see the wildlife including rehabilitated chimpanzees, black rhinos, and other wild game. Dinner and overnight stay at Sweetwater’s Serena Tented camp. The private ranch at Sweetwater is the only sanctuary for rehabilitation in Kenya of these widely abused chimpanzees with two groups living in an environment as close to their natural habitat as possible. The site is also a dedicated black rhino breeding area.

Discover Kenya Wildlife Lodge Safari continues south to lake Nakuru national park as you enjoy the views of the Rift Valley to arrive at our lodge in good time for lunch .

Afternoon game drives at the magnificent Lake Nakuru National park to see water birds including a variety of terrestrial birds numbering about 450 species in total. Mammals: 56 different species including white rhinos,waterbuck etc. View-points: Lion hill, Baboon cliff and Out of Africa. Hills: Enasoit, Honeymoon, Lion hill ridge etc. followed by dinner and overnight stay at a Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge or Flamingo Camp

The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley. The sight of the at times millions of flamingos is quite spectacular. From a distance the lake appears ringed in pink. The Lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons are all residents here.

Discover Kenya wildlife Safari. Breakfast then view game as we exit the park drive to via the Great Rift Valley to arrive at Maasai Mara in time for lunch at a Lodge. Full afternoon game drive till dusk when we return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Keekorok lodge or similar

We will spend 2 days exploring the Masai Mara, with its abundance of large mammals and diverse bird life. We have the option to either have full and complete days out in the field when lunch can be served out on the savannah or we can return to camp for lunch.

Big cats are a very prominent feature of the Masai Mara and also include Cheetahs and Leopards, both of which are fairly straightforward to find here. We are definitely at ‘Predator Central’ here and there can be few.

if any wildlife spectacles anywhere in the world that can rival the tension, drama and emotion of a Mara crossing. As many as a million wildebeest and 200,000 zebra attempt this epic journey each year. Watching as thousands of wildebeest and zebra gather at a crossing point you can almost feel the pressure build on the animals at the front as they consider the right time to attempt to cross the dangerous waters of the crocodile-infested Mara River. It is, however, a time of plenty for the gigantic Nile Crocodiles that live in the river and lie in wait as hundreds of thousands of animals head north from the Serengeti Plains to feed on the lush Mara grasslands. The foaming waters, noise and drama of a Mara crossing has to be experienced to be believed and offers dramatic action photo opportunities. Dinner and overnight stay at Keekorok Lodge or similar. After breakfast our Kenya wildlife trails safari descends down towards the Great Rift Valley. Arrival at Lake Naivasha will be in time for a delicious lunch at the Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge or similar. The remainder of the afternoon will be at your leisure, with the opportunity of going on a nature walk, hiring a boat to take you to the famous Crescent Island, or simply relaxing by the swimming pool. Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa lodge

After breakfast, drive past the scenic Athi Plains and into the bushy country of Amboseli National Park – a landscape dominated by the spectacular snowcaps of Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrival will be in time for lunch at Amboseli Serena Lodge. After lunch and a few hours of rest, embark on a game drive at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain. Dinner and overnight will be at the Amboseli Serena lodge or Oltukai Lodge.

On days 10 of our Discover Kenya wildlife safari you will spend the full day in Amboseli with early morning and evening game drives. Whilst in the park, you will have the opportunity to photograph the animals against the wonderful backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. All meals and overnight will be at Amboseli Serena lodge or Oltukai Lodge.

After an early breakfast your Discover Kenya Wildlife Lodge Safari continues to Tsavo West National Park which lies roughly half way between Nairobi and the Coast. Mzima Springs, the chief marvel here is a favorite haunt of hippos and crocodiles. Arrival at your lodge will be in time for lunch. An early evening game drive to see large herds of elephants, buffalo, common waterbuck, eland, rhino and a wide variety of antelope. Return to the Kilaguni Serena Lodge dinner and overnight.
