10 Days Masai Mara Migration Safari and Rwanda Gorilla Trekking

At the start of our 10 days Kenya Wildebeest migration & Rwanda gorilla safari you will be picked up from Sarova Panafric hotel at 0730 hrs – a safari briefing session with our tour consultant then drive to the Masai Mara Game Reserve as you enjoy the scenic views of the Great Rift Valley.

Masai Mara game reserve is the northern part of the Serengeti, one of Kenya’s most favored game-viewing areas. The reserve covers 700 square miles of magnificent wilderness. It is the Africa of the imagination; endless reaches of acacia-dotted grasslands studded with hazy hills. Afternoon game drive to see the sun downer as you trail the Big 5 i.e. Lions in large pride, Elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and numerous plain game. On day 3 of our 10 days Masai Mara Wildebeest Migration safari /Rwanda Gorilla tour you will have early breakfast then head out with a picnic lunch to the Mara River, hoping to see a dramatic river crossing or two. It is quite some sight to see the massed herds take a leap of faith into the Mara or Talek rivers with the Nile crocodiles lying in wait for them. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay

We will spend 2 days exploring the Masai Mara, with its abundance of large mammals and diverse bird life. We have the option to either have full and complete days out in the field when both breakfast and lunch can be served out on the Savannah or we can return to camp for lunch.

Big cats are a very prominent feature of the Masai Mara and also include Cheetahs and Leopards, both of which are fairly straightforward to find here. We are definitely at ‘Predator Central’ here and there can be few

if any wildlife spectacles anywhere in the world that can rival the tension, drama, and emotion of a Mara crossing. As many as a million wildebeest and 200,000 zebra attempt this epic journey each year. Watching as thousands of wildebeest and zebra gather at a crossing point you can almost feel the pressure build on the animals at the front as they consider the right time to attempt to cross the dangerous waters of the crocodile-infested Mara River. It is, however, a time of plenty for the gigantic Nile Crocodiles that live in the river and lie in wait as hundreds of thousands of animals head north from the Serengeti Plains to feed on the lush Mara grasslands. On day 6 of our Kenya and Rwanda combined safari you will have an early breakfast then drive check out of the camp and drive to Lake Nakuru National park- to arrive in good time for lunch at Flamingo hill camp. afternoon game drives a the scenic park famed for numerous species of bird life.Dinner and overnight stay at Flamingo Hill camp

Lake Nakuru is a shallow alkaline lake in the Rift Valley, renowned for its spectacular flamingo population as one of the world’s greatest ornithological spectacles. Although Lake Nakuru is primarily a bird sanctuary, there are a considerable number of animals to be encountered, such as many large game animals such as zebras, and gazelles, this is one of our best chances of seeing rhinos. Lake Nakuru National Park was the first place in Kenya selected as a rhino reserve. Here is one of the few places where we can see Rothschild’s giraffes.

Breakfast then proceed to Nairobi Lunch at the Carnivore restaurant drop off at the airstrip to board your flight to Kigali on arrival our representative will meet you and transfer you to Chezlando hotel for dinner and overnight stay .

After breakfast, visit the Gisozi Genocide Memorial Ground, the handicrafts shops, the museum, and many other fascinating places in Kigali. In the afternoon transfer to Ruhengeri for an overnight stay at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge

After breakfast, our tour guide will lead you to the park headquarters for a briefing from the head of the park rangers. At 8.30 am local time, commence the memorable gorilla tracking experience. You will be left in the presence of the awesome mountain gorillas for about an hour. Take photographs and enjoys the antics of baby gorillas as they swing from tree branch to another.
