25 Days East Africa Safari – Kenya- Uganda-Tanzania – Zanzibar/Gorilla safari

Day 1 – Arrival- Entebbe – Kampala
Our chimpanzee and Gorilla Safari begins with meet and greet from Entebbe airport. Your safari guide then transfers to Kampala to your hotel.

Day 2 Kampala – Bwindi
Depart from Kampala by road with your safari guide early morning, south-West to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Stop-over at the Equator for photographic opportunity as well as an enjoyable and informative talk. Have Lunch in Mbarara, and continue through the Kigezi Highlands known as the Switzerland of Uganda, the scenic drive through banana plantations, views of the great Virunga volcanoes of Rwanda and the Congo as well as heads of Ankole cattle take you to the biggest Home of mountain gorillas, the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Day 3 Kibale Safari , Tour
After morning breakfast from the lodge. Your safari guide will transfer you through Mubende arriving in Fort Portal for lunch. Later you proceed to the Kibale Forest arriving fordinner and overnight at the Primate Lodge/Ndali Lodge/Chimp Nest Lodge.

Day 4 Primate Watching Uganda Safari
Morning breakfast, later start a half day Forest walk in the Forest on your Chimpanzee safari. The walk in the forest by experienced guides takes us to an area where a troop of chimpanzees will be feeding. You may want to look out for the Red Colubus(an endemic species only found in this forest in Uganda). Other primates include the Chimpanzee, Grey Cheeked Mangabeys and others. In the afternoon, take a swamp walk in Magombe for a closer to nature encounter. Later, depart from the forest and transfer to Fortportal Mountains of the Moon for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 Bwindi Gorilla tour Uganda
Breakfast at leisure before heading through a short safari of Queen ELizabeth National park along the road. You are likely to see Uganda Kob, Elephant, Waterbuck, Cape Buffalo and may be lucky to find the tree climbing Lions along the main road relaxing in fig trees. Proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest arriving at the Buhoma the Gorilla Staging area where dinner and overnight is at The Gorilla Resort.

Day 6 Bwindi Gorilla Tracking in Uganda
Your Gorilla Safari starts after breakfast. The Mountain Gorilla rangers and trackers through the thick and steep vegetation will be tracking the Gorillas ahead of the main party and will direct the trekking party of a maximum of 8 gorilla visitors to the feeding area. The Mountain Gorillas will be viewed for only one hour before a lunch break is allowed for your picnic lunch. The gorilla safari ends with the return to The Gorilla Resort for refreshments of beers, sodas,wines and cocktails by the fire place.

Day 7 Uganda Adventure Tour
After breakfast, our trip return trip takes us to Mbarara where we will have our picnic lunches alongside the Long Horn Ankole Cows. Stop at the Uganda Equator for those who wish to buy crafts as well as taking pictures. Later, we transfer to – Kampala arriving before dark for overnight at the a hotel

Day 8 Kampala – Nairobi – Lake Naivasha
Early morning transfer to Entebbe airport to board a flight to Nairobi – Pick up from the airport on arrival then drive to Lake Naivasha as you enjoy the scenic views of the Great Rift valley , lunch at your hotel then proceed for afternoon visit to the Hells gate national park where you take a walk around the park or cycle.

Day 9: Lake Naivasha – Masai mara game reserve

Optional boat ride , then drive to Masai Mara to arrive in good time for lunch, proceed for afternoon game drives followed by dinner and overnight stay at a Tented Camp.

Day 10/11 Masai Mara game reserve
Full days spent exploring the park in search of the big 5.Morning and afternoon game drives are offered. Optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 450 per person. Dinner and overnight stay at a Tented Camp
The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here.

Day 11 Mara – Lake Nakuru National park
Early breakfast then drive  through the Rift Valley drive to Lake Nakuru, a shallow alkaline lake in the Rift Valley, renowned for its spectacular flamingo population as one of the world’s greatest ornithological spectacles. Although Lake Nakuru is primarily a bird sanctuary. Lake Nakuru National Park was the first place in Kenya selected as a rhino reserve. Here is one of the few places where we can see Rothschild’s giraffes. Dinner and overnight at the Lake Nakuru guest house

Day 12 – Lake Nakuru – Amboseli national park
Breakfast then proceed to Amboseli national park. Via Nairobi Amboseli is the magnificent park at the foot hills of Mt.Kilimanjaro.After noon game drives followed by dinner and overnight stay at Kibo safari Camp
This small park (at 392 sq km) is the second most popular park in Kenya after Maasai Mara, mainly due to the spectacular backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro on the southern

Day 13 Amboseli National Park
Full Day spent exploring this park. The waters from melted snow drain down the mountain under lava flows and surface on the Amboseli plains, creating a green belt of swampland amidst dusty plains. Here elephant, buffalo, lion, cheetah, wildebeest, hyena, jackal, warthogs, zebra and the Maasai giraffe are likely to be seen.
Amboseli National park is one of the most popular wildlife sanctuaries in Kenya. It is situated close to Kenya- Tanzania border, The Park lies at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa (5,896m) whose snow-capped summit presents a splendid view on clear days.

Day 14 : Amboseli – Lake Manyara
Early morning  breakfast, then drive into Tanzania via the Namanga border. We also pass through Arusha to Lake Manyara National park with lunch enroute. Regardless of the direction we approach Manyara from, the view is always fantastic. We proceed to  Nysa Lodge  for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 15: Lake Manyara – Serengeti National park
Breakfast then proceed to Serengeti national park. Game is viewed as we proceed to Ikoma Bush camp  for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 16 : Serengeti National park
Full day spent exploring the park. Morning and afternoon game drives are offered. Dinner and overnight stay at Ikoma Bush Camp
Serengeti is Africa’s most famous and Tanzania’s largest park covering 14,736 sq km and is adjoining with the Masai Mara National reserve in Kenya. With a wildebeest population of about 2 million and several other hoofed species (which include zebra, Thomson’s gazelle, impala, topi, Grants gazelle, Kongoni, Eland, Kirk’s dik dik, klipspringer, roan, Oryx, oribi, waterbuck, buffalo, giraffe and warthog), the Serengeti is sure to attract a string of prey such as lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, golden jackals and bat eared foxes. Elephants are relatively scarce and the few remaining black rhinoceros are restricted to the Moru Koppies area.
Serengeti also offers rewarding bird viewing with ostrich and kori bustard being common, a variety of larks, finches, and raptors can be seen but the most distinctive small bird is the lilac breasted roller

Day 17 : Serengeti – Ngorongoro crater conservation via Olduvai
We view game as we drive southeast up into the magnificent Ngorongoro Conservation via the Olduvai gorge – Proceed to the crater rim for dinner and overnight stay at Rhino lodge

Day 18: Ngorongoro Crater Tour
Descend the crater for a full day crater tour with packed lunches, Dinner and overnight stay at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge
The Ngorongoro crater is the world’s biggest whole volcanic caldera at 8300 sq km and is arguably the most stunning arena.
It is frequently described as one of the wonders of the world, not only because of its geological magnificence, but also because it serves as an extraordinary natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s largest populations of large mammals. Ngorongoro and other freestanding mountains are volcanic in origin, formed during the fracturing process that created the Rift valley 15 to 20 million years ago. When it peaked in size 3 million years ago it was a similar height to Mt. Kilimanjaro today

Day 19: Ngorongoro – Tarangire National park
Early breakfast then break the camp and proceed to Tarangire national park ; game drives .dinner and
